Bees and Relatives

The much-loved bees are frequent visitors of the many flowers! It's important to have a variety of flower types and sizes to attract different species of bees.

We all know about how important bees are as pollinators, but did you know their close relatives the wasps also are ecologically important! Many wasps are harmless and don't sting. Some act as pest control, keeping populations of other invertebrates like spiders and caterpillars down. Others also pollinate plants like bees do!

What else lives in the garden?
