Butterflies and Moths

The stars of the show are important and attractive pollinators! In the order Lepidoptera, we have many species ranging from the famous monarch butterflies and flashy swallowtail butterflies to the small and understated hairstreaks.

Flowers are a food source for adult butterflies but to have consistent visitors it's equally important to have food plants for the caterpillars, like milkweed and passion vine!
